Villas del Mar Hau developed as a small beach-inn since 1960. Its former owners, Mr. & Mrs. Hau singled out this precious piece of property to enjoy as a second home for themselves and their children. Very soon the demand from friends and visitors grew and shaped the idea to build cottages along the beachfront to cater friends and acquaintances. The business boomed overnight and for thirty years Villas del Mau Hau was kept as a hidden jewel and a quaint family enterprise.
In 1991 their oldest daughter Myrna became the owner of the family business which blossomed into a well thought out resort of 42 cottages. Today a Parador, the beach inn is known for its wooden, colorful beachfront cabins. The cottages are steps from the water and in between, a golden sand strip stands out like a brush on a canvas for the peaceful and pleasant enjoyment of nature lovers. The clean and well kept green surroundings add more energy to the place nestled among pine and palm trees.
The Parador has a world-class restaurant, managed by Herman, Myrna's son to keep on with the family tradition. The Olas y Arenas Restaurant overlooks a natural seawater pool surrounded by reefs, providing a relaxed dining experience. Our offerings include fish, shellfish and meats, worked with imagination and good taste. Our exquisite dishes are creations of our Chef, a truly acclaimed artist of the international cuisine whose work is known worldwide. The pleasant sea breeze and dancing waves caress the golden sand providing a dream environment and an unforgettable dining experience.
