Descripción
Our main building, constructed in 1929, was originally called the American Hotel. It was built on the shores of Ensenada Bay and in the past, high executives from the sugar industry used to stay at the hotel. Today, Parador Guánica 1929 is the first School Hotel of Puerto Rico where you will share pleasant memories with the future hotel professionals of (AAFET).

The hotel was restored to its original condition and its 27 rooms are exquisitely decorated with Air Conditioning, Cable TV and a private bath. There are two swimming pools, a wonderful vista to the bay, a basketball court and leisure areas. Our restaurant serves exquisite local and international dishes and exotic tropical beverages.

Nearby Attractions
The landscape of the municipality of Guánica is one of the most photogenic of Puerto Rico. Its beaches Caña Gorda, Playa Santa, Manglillo Pequeño and Jaboncillos are among the most beautiful of the entire island. The hills alongside the bay have fortifications dating back to the American invasion including an abandoned lighthouse. Next to the coast are tropical coral cays with names like Cayo Ballena and Gilligan's Island that can be visited by ferry. If you like hiking you can visit Guanica's Dry Forest and explore dozens of trails. On the town's waterfront you can visit the stone that marks the spot where American troops invaded the island in 1898. You can also visit Hacienda Igualdad and the museum at Hacienda Santa Rita.
